Finding weatherproof covers for non-standard junction boxes

Homeowner needs a weatherproof cover for a 3.25-inch diameter shallow metal junction box to safely close an outdoor electrical opening. Standard covers aren't available in this size, forcing costly workarounds like replacing the entire junction box.

“Will this Cat6 cable be too close to the 120V electrical wiring? I am building a new home and pulling my own network cables. I have been uncertain how close I can run the low voltage (unshielded Cat6 riser cable) to the electrical wiring. I am attaching a photo showing one situation I am in question about. Several Cat6 will be running through the floor joists here. For about 25 feet they will be running parallel and approx. 10 inches away from two 120V electrical cables. They will also intersect”

“How to close up where outdoor light was I had a tree fall down and knock an outdoor light fixture off the wall of my house. I wasn't using the light anyway, so I want to just close up the hole safely. I'm going to cap the wires with wire nuts and tape, but the problem is physically covering the hole. The light was mounted on a shallow round metal junction box. The box is about 3 1/4 inches in diameter. I thought I would just need a weatherproof cover in that size, but I haven't been able to find”
